OzCon is the world’s longest-running Oz convention, celebrating L. Frank Baum and The Land of Oz for over 60 years!

We are excited to bring this year’s OzCon International to the Media Capital of the World at our new venue: Hotel Burbank, from June 20 to June 22, 2025. Please visit our Hotel page for more venue information.

We welcome fans of every aspect of Oz, from the original 1900 book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, to the new captivating Wicked movie.

Each year, we explore different Oz themes, and in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Return to Oz, this year’s themes will include a deep dive into the beloved, lost and lesser-known Oz projects of the Walt Disney Company. This includes Walt’s, The Rainbow Road to Oz, his failed attempts to create a sequel to MGM’s The Wizard of Oz, popular Disneyland record releases, the madness and mayhem of the Muppets’ take on Oz, and the live-action film Oz: The Great and Powerful. There’s so much to discover!

Additionally, we will examine the popularity of Wicked (Part 1), the 50th anniversary of the Broadway production of The Wiz, and mark the 125th anniversary of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz book, with a dash of 1939’s The Wizard of Oz.

OzCon activities will include presentations, expert panels, a dealer’s room, exhibits, trivia contests, a costume contest, the Oz auction, live performances, and much more!

It’s a tradition at OzCon to dine together in the evenings. On Friday, we’ll host the ‘Wonderful Welcome Dinner,’ which is more casual, so we encourage you to wear your favorite Oz-themed t-shirt. On Saturday, join us for the grand ‘Great Emerald Banquet,’ where we’ll dress in our most vibrant green attire. Both dinners will feature live music, giving you the opportunity to chat and mingle with fellow Ozians. Please note that both dinners require advance purchases, and spots are limited, so be sure to reserve yours early. Breakfast and lunch will also be available for purchase on-site at Cafe Burbank only.
