CODE OF CONDUCT

Please read below for our Code of Conduct.

CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY

At OzCon International, we are committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, affirmed, and safe to be exactly who they are. Our Code of Conduct is rooted in respect, diversity, inclusion, and community care.

We celebrate the Land of Oz as a place of imagination and wonder—and we believe everyone deserves to experience that magic without fear of judgment, exclusion, or harm.

What We Expect

All attendees, guests, volunteers, staff, and vendors are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect
  • Respect personal boundaries and practice consent in all interactions
  • Use inclusive, affirming language and avoid assumptions
  • Be open to learning, unlearning, and listening
  • Speak up or seek help if you witness harm
  • Follow all OzCon safety, accessibility, and anti-harassment guidelines

We hold ourselves—and each other—accountable to these shared values.

OzCon Is a Safe Space

OzCon International is built on kindness, inclusion, and mutual respect. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience.

We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Bullying or hate speech
  • Unwanted physical or verbal attention
  • Restroom policing

Be kind. Ask for consent. Respect boundaries.

If you feel unsafe or witness harmful behavior, report it to an OzCon International volunteer immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with care.

If Harm Occurs

Possible outcomes of policy violations may include:

  • Verbal warnings
  • Removal from specific activities or spaces
  • Ejection from the event without refund
  • Bans from future events
  • Legal or external reporting if necessary

We encourage a “see something, say something” mindset. You don’t need to be directly affected to speak up.

Our Shared Space

Together, we make OzCon International a space where everyone can be their fullest selves—nerdy, creative, curious, and full of heart.

This is your safe space. Always.
